How to use this cost per serving calculator

  1. Enter the product price or choose a deal type.
  2. Enter the pack count and servings per pack.
  3. Add another option to compare the cost per serving and find the better value.

Cost per serving formula

price after deal / number of servings = cost per serving

Use the serving count from the package when products are used in the same way. If serving sizes are different, compare carefully before treating the result as equal.

Evergreen example

Product A costs $6 for 12 servings. Product B costs $8 for 20 servings. Product A is $0.50 per serving, while Product B is $0.40 per serving, so Product B is cheaper by serving count.

What can mislead you

  • Family-size labels: a larger package is not always cheaper per serving.
  • Servings per container: the count matters more than the front-label size claim.
  • Serving size changes: two products are easiest to compare when the serving size is similar.
  • Multipacks: count the total servings across the full pack.
  • Bulk packs: bigger packs can still lose after deal math or waste.
